As director of digital services, Maxa oversees all non-linear content, products and services of Czech TV, a public broadcaster. Czech TV’s digital services include:
ivysilani.cz, the online broadcast, catchup and VoD site available on most web, mobile and smart TV platforms;
ct24.cz and ctsport.cz, the leading Czech providers of news and sports content online, on mobile and smart TV;
decko.cz, a highly popular kids’ website with video and gaming content including outdoor family games;
ctart.cz, a website for the arts community;
ctedu.cz, an educational portal based on the video archive of Czech TV.
In his previous role, since 2012, as content development director of Czech TV, Maxa managed a group of 15 creative producers and approximately 500 projects in development in all TV genres, including drama, entertainment, factual and documentary, as well as children programs. The team’s responsibilities included in-house development, commissioning from independent producers, coproduction of cinema projects and international coproductions and presales. Under Maxa’s management, Czech TV became a regular co-producer with ARTE, ORF, MDR, ZDF and other broadcasters and its content won many local and international awards.
Previously, Maxa worked as content development director at CME Group, in print media and in information technology consulting.
