Young is EVP distribution and networks for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Sony Pictures Television (SPT) where he has worked for 18 years. During this time, he has held senior distribution roles, managing sales teams across a raft of countries and regions including the UK, Western Europe, Central Eastern Europe, Africa, and CIS. Within this duration, Young was also based in Sydney for three and a half years heading up the Australia and New Zealand TV distribution division and prior to this successfully set-up the Dubai office to manage the Middle Eastern territory. Since 2021, in his current role he has led the TV distribution, media networks and home entertainment units across the whole of the EMEA region. Prior to joining Sony, Young held various roles at British Sky Broadcasting Limited, Chello Media, Granada Sky Broadcasting, and Nynex Cablecomms Ltd.
